Core network

The dynamic infrastructure development and core fiber-optics network construction started in 2003. Since the beginning more than 400 kilometers of fiber-optics have been laid. At present our network covers all districts of St.-Petersburg, Pushkin, Pavlovsk. Currently the network is being built in Vsevololozhsk, Novodevyatkino and other nearest suburban areas.

As the solution for the “last mile” provision, together with fiber-optics links LANCK Telecom usually uses copper leased lines and its own wireless broadband access network, which uses the frequency ranges of 3,481-3,499 GHz and 3,581-3,599 GHz.

Currently in Saint-Petersburg the company has installed 4 Pre-WiMAX base stations produced by Alvarion Co. Their coverage area is spread up to all the city territory.

The total outstretch of LANCK Telecom’s copper access network is more than 1100 kilometers.

The LANCK Telecom network is built with respect to its redundancy. The core nodes and the nodes of traffic aggregation are connected via MetroEthernet and SDH (STM-16 level) links.

LANCK Telecom is taking part in traffic exchange with the largest Russian providers at SPb-IX and MSK-IX exchanges at 100Mbps rate both. The company has its data transmission circuits between St.-Petersburg and Moscow with total capacity of 100Mbps and has its PoPs at several access points in Moscow, including MMTS-10.

Equipment

The fixed telephony services are provided based on high-performance digital exchanges.

The data transmission and IP network of LANCK Telecom is based on Cisco Systems equipment, including access servers NAS 5300, NAS5400, NAS 5850, routers 2851, 7513, heavy-duty gigabyte switch GSR12016, Catalyst series switches.

For customers’ connections the solutions based on SDH, PDH, PON, Ethernet technologies as well as SHDSL and ADSL are used.
